Earth Day is Every Day

At MAX Solutions, our commitment to the environment is woven throughout everything that we do – whether it’s where & how we build our manufacturing facilities, the investments we make in carbon-neutral technology, the bio-based, compostable & recyclable solutions we design, or how we source materials.

As the dynamic between people and the planet evolves and we learn more, we will continue to invest in new ways for MAX Solutions to deliver on our customers’ needs in the most environmentally responsible way.

Manufacturing

The emission of greenhouse gases is the largest contributor of climate change today - the most common being carbon dioxide (CO2). Our investment in next-generation technology supports our commitment to responsible and sustainable operations by reducing those emissions. For instance, our carbon-neutral presses are designed to the highest levels of energy efficiency and reduce the release of VOC emissions (Volatile Organic Content) into the environment by 40%. They also reduce scrap & process waste by 70% - 75%.

In addition, we select our manufacturing locations - and align those facilities with the leanest manufacturing standards - to shorten the supply chain and reduce fuel consumption. Even our electric forklifts ensure we keep our teams and our planet healthy.

And finally, at the end of the manufacturing process, we recycle virtually everything that comes through our manufacturing process - fiber, plastic, inks & solvents, metal plates - if it can be recycled…we recycle it. And if there aren’t processes in place to reissue a by-product, we work with local and industry leaders to develop recycling solutions for the future.

Material Sourcing

We are in the enviable position of not being vertically integrated. In other words, we’re material neutral. Whatever the client wants, we can source. And we’re not stuck with only utilizing paperboard we produce.

Typically, we source 35% Post Consumer Waste (PCW) board but every customer has a different need. The only mills we source from, however, are FSC® certified.

Globally recognized, The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certification (FSC® C102456, FSC® C100104, FSC® C103339, FSC® C183714) ensures that material we use comes from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits.

In addition, all of our manufacturing facilities are FSC®-certified. This rigorous chain of custody certification reflects our commitment to protecting the health and resilience of forests worldwide.

Solution Development

Designing solutions that optimize material, reduce waste, provide a second use, and contribute to the circular economy is a big piece of our efforts to drive sustainability.

A great example is our partnership with PaperFoam®. PaperFoam® is a plant-based, eco-friendly, compostable, recyclable, injection-molded, lightweight alternative to plastic with unlimited design and color options.

Our commitment to our customers, consumers and the market is to ever stop innovating as we look to bring functional, beautiful and sustainable packaging solutions to the world.

“Our commitment to the environment is woven throughout everything that we do – whether it’s where & how we build our manufacturing facilities, the investments we make in carbon-neutral technology, the bio-based, compostable & recyclable solutions we design, or how we source materials.

The role we play to ensure a healthy planet is core to our everyday approach.”
